Zoological Park of Thiruvananthapuram, is India’s first and is located amid a well laid out garden. The Zoo with a lake & boat club within its premises is an ideal day outing for children & adults alike. Around 75 different species of animals & birds from India & countries like Ehtiopia & Australia are found here.Home to the Lion-tailed Macaque, Nilgiri Langur, Nilgiri Tahr, Manipur deer, Indian Rhino, Asiatic Lion and the Royal Bengal Tiger are prominent among other indigenous endangered fauna, while the Giraffe, Hippo, Zebra and Cape buffalo are guests from Africa.

Zoological Park of Thiruvananthapuram is the first of its kind in India. It was originally laid out by the King of Tranvacore in 1857. It is also the Thiruvananthapuram Zoo. It houses 75 varieties of birds and animals from India as well as from other countries and continents.Spread over in 55 acres of land located in the heart of the temple city of Thiruvananthapuram, the Zoo offers a rare opportunity for the visitors to experience and enjoy an unparalleled picturesque and panoramic sylvan surroundings besides vivid animal collections.

Others : Auto rickshaws is also available to reach this place in trivandrum.
