The Manchester Ritz is a live music venue in Whitworth Street West in Manchester. It won Manchester’s Best Bar None and Club awards for 2006/2007 organised by the Greater Manchester Police. It was managed in the 1960s by Jimmy Savile, and is currently managed by Sean Cullen.Many bands have played here including The Beatles, R.E.M., The Stone Roses, Arctic Monkeys, The Smiths, Snow Patrol, Happy Mondays. The venue is notable for its unusual “springy” dancefloor.The venue is also occasional host to events run by third party entertainment brands such as Propaganda, GoGo & Erasmus Parties.
