The Land of Open Shutters these are three villages unique in the respect of architecture: Trześcianka, Sotse and Puchły. All the villages are situated in the valley of the river Narev. Characteristic for these villages is rich woodcarving decoration, window heads intricately carved in wood, shutters, plankings of elevations, bevel squares and gables of numerous houses. Their characteristic feature is a big number of colourfully painted shutters. In Tshestsianka were preserved traditional wooden buildings. The houses are located with the head to the street, on narrow plots, house next to house. By the street – the St. Michael the Archangel Orthodox church. In Poukhly there is the Providence of the Holy Mother church. In the village Sotse – the Orthodox chapel from the beginning of the 20th century.
