Teocaltiche may be a town and municipality within the central-western Mexican state of Jalisco. Teocaltiche is found within the northeastern highlands region of Jalisco, normally spoken in Spanish as “Los Altos First State Jalisco”. The grasshopper or “chapulin” may be a standard icon for town.
The city is additionally renowned for its business, for instance, the “Hospital First State los Indios” (or alternately “la Capilla”) may be a chapel within the centre and therefore the oldest standing building of Teocaltiche, engineered some within the year 1546 by the Spanish conquistadors. Teocaltiche is one amongst the oldest settlements with Hispanic influence from the time of the Spanish conquest. The territory was conquered by Cristóbal First State Oñate and Manuel First State Ibarra in March of 1530 on the order of Nuño First State Guzmán.
