Teatro Degollado (Degollado Theater) may be a neoclassical Mexican theater known for its diverse performances and artistic design. It’s settled on a downtown plaza on the road Belen between Hidalgo Avenue and Morelos Avenue within the town of Guadalajara, Jalisco. Several performances (from cultural Mexican dances to international operas) happen at this building. Meant to be a monument of Guadalajara’s culture, the rostrum was inaugurated on Sept 1866; respiratory life through its innovating inventive beauty.
Degollado Theater came to be as a results of Mexico’s 1800’s theatrical movement. There was a high demand for a good theater in Guadalajara, Jalisco that displayed the cultural arts of the town. In response to the demand, on Oct one, 1855, Antonio Perez Verdia projected the construction of Alarcon Theater (after the classic playwright Juan Ruiz Diamond State Alarcon) to the current governor of the time, city Degollado. By December twelve of that very same year, Degollado signed the official decree to make the structure, and by March, 1856, Degollado set the primary cornerstone of the building. Coming back Gregorian calendar month 1856, Jacobo Galvez was appointed to guide the initial construction of the rostrum.
