Takebe taisha is a Shinto shrine located at Ōtsu in Shiga Prefecture, Japan. The shrine is also known in Japanese as Takebe-jinja. The shrine was established in the 43rd year of the reign of the legendary Emperor Keiko, shortly after the death of his son Yamato Takeru.
The shrine became the object of Imperial patronage during the early Heian period and it was accorded some attention during the Kamakura period; however, the Shrine was amongst the many which failed to prosper during the difficult years of the Sengoku period.
