Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve is a tiger reserve in Chandrapur District, Maharashtra, India. It includes Tadoba National Park and Andhari Wildlife Sanctuary. Maharashtra’s oldest National Park created in 1955, the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve. It is also one of India’s 28 Project Tiger Reserve. The National Park is 623 km in area, consisting of two forested rectangles of the Tadoba and Andhari range. The National park derives its name from local tribal god “Taru” whereas the Andhari river flowing through the forests gives the sanctuary its name. The forests mainly consists of teak and bamboo interspersed with grassy meadows while Tadoba is rugged hilly terrain. The area has a wide and rich range of flora and fauna. Teak and bamboo trees dominate southern deciduous forests. There is vast diversity in fauna and various types of species are found here. The major attraction in this place is the presence of tigers. the large herds of Chital and the stately Samber are often seen in the forest. Other attractions include the elusive barking Deer, the fleet footed Chausinga. The majestic Gaur, the robust Nilgai, The shy Sloth Bear, the whistling wild dogs, the omnipresent wild Boar and stealthy Leopard etc. As the night falls the small Indian Civet The Palm Civet, the Rattle, The flying squirrel make their presence felt. In the backdrop of the famous Ram degi Temple, the nature is as its best at Tadoba.
Advance Park Entry Booking: TATR Management started Advance Park Entry Booking from Chandrapur. But it can be done personally and Online Booking is not made available yet. They do not provide Advance Booking more than 7 days before i.e. On Saturday, you can get the advance booking of Sunday till Friday, if available. Due to very less vehicles and Mad rush on Saturdays and Sundays, you all are advised to contact your contact person as soon as possible to get the booking.

Taxi : Private vehicles or taxies are also available to reach the destination. Moharli is 180 km from Nagpur via Chandrapur. Kolara is 115 km via Umred-Chimur, while Khutwanda is 130 km from Nagpur via Warora. Pangdi and Zari can be reached via Nagbhid- Talodi-Sindewahi and Chandrapur.
Bus : Chandrapur is 127 Kms from Brahmapuri, 143 Kms from Ruyyadi, 144 Kms from Wardha, 154 Kms from Nagpur, 224 Kms from Karimnagar, 425 Kms from Hyderabad, 506 Kms from Bhopal and 762 Kms from Pune. It is well connected with the other major cities like Aheri, Amravati, Akola, Shirdi, Hyderabad, Gondia and Aurangabad through Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) and some private travel services.
Train : Chandrapur has its own Railway Station named as Chandrapur Railway Station which is connected to the major cities of Maharashtra.
