Table Land, with an elevation of 4,550 ft above sea level, is the highest point in Panchgani. Credited as Asia’s second longest mountain plateau, it is a vast expanse of flat laterite rock surrounded by hills. The 95 acres area of the attraction is beautifully carpeted with the tiny blue bonnet and star, along with other grasses that grow in the month of August and September.
The place also offers an aerial view of the entire town and the valleys located nearby. The place also contains several avenues of entertainment like horse riding, merry go rounds, mini trains, food stalls and a couple of games counters. Owing to is elevation, the place also offers an aerial view of the Rajpuri Caves and Devil’s Kitchen. Panchgani’s famous ‘table land’ has been the location for many Indian Movies, recently the location for the acclaimed movie “Taare Zameen Par” and “Agent Vinod”.

Tableland is a mountain plateau that provides a natural protection for the Panchgani from strong winds, heavy rains and it helps Panchgani to keep its ambience enjoyable for tourists. It is believed that the Pandavas halted here and this place was used as a cooking place.

Train : Pune Railway station, about 95 km away, is the major railway station near to Panchagani. Pune is well connected to all cities in India by rail. Pre-paid taxi services are available from Pune to Panchagani which costs about Rs 2500. Another railway station near to this hill station called Wathar but it is not well connected .
Air : The closest airport is at Pune, 98 kms from Panchgani. Pune is well connected to Mumbai, Goa and Bangalore through many well known airlines.
