Owing to the wonderful surroundings and the varied tourist paths, Szilvásvárad is popular for walking-tours. The Szalajka Valley, the Veil Waterfall, the Lipizza Stud and the trout farm offer programs for several days, either on foot, or by bike, or on the narrow gauge railway traveling in the forest.
