“Sydney Harbor Bridge is an architectural wonder and one of the highlighting features of the city of Sydney in the state of New South Wales in Australia. It definitely is the widest ones with a huge arch that dominates the city skyline. The Sydney Harbor Bridge has been the high point of the city since 1932 and is considered to be the Iron Lung as it provided livelihood and work during the Depression.
It took nine years to complete the historical structure. The bridge is considered to be one of the longest single-arch bridges in the World. The Sydney Harbor Bridge spreads to 1,150 meters in length and the highest point in the arch is at an altitude of 134 meters. This bridge is very heavy and it is said that that nearly 50,300 ton of steel was used to build it. The bridge spans over a width of 49 meters (161.1 feet) making it the widest single-span bridge in the world.”
