Sumitranandan Pant Gallery, Kausani is dedicated to the Hindi poet Sumitranandan Pant, whose birth place is Kausani. The museum showcases his manuscripts of the poems and draft copies of his literary works. Collections of the museum also include articles used day-to-day by him, the awards received by him, and also the letters written and received by him. With its collection of over hundreds of English and Hindi books, displayed in glass shelves, the museum has become an interesting place for literature lovers. Every year, to mark the birth anniversary of the famous poet, a poetry conference is organised in this museum. This poetry symposium marks the poet’s birth anniversary.

BUS : Kausani is well connected by state owned bus services. Bus services connect Kausani to other hill stations like Almora, Ranikhet, Nainital and Pittorgarh. Many overnight tourist bus services run by private companies are available from New Delhi to Kausani. The bus charge is around Rs 1200.

Train : Nearest railway station is at Kathgodam. Kathgodam railway station to Kausani city is about 142 km, which can be covered by nearly 4 hours and for a cab it costs about Rs 2800, one way. Kathgodam is connected to many cities in the state.

Air : There is no airport in Kausani. The nearest airport to Kausani is Naini Saini in Pithoragarh, which is nearly 112 km away from the heart of the city. Pre paid taxi charges nearly Rs 2500 from Pithorgarh to Kausani.
