Šumećani is a naselje (settlement) in Zagreb County, Croatia, close to Zagreb and part of the town of Ivanić-Grad. The place spans over an area of 8.28 km2 (3.20 sq mi). According to the 2001 census, it had 494 inhabitants. A lot of mushrooms grow in the forests nearby, especially puffball.
