Substation seven could be a traction station placed at 1782 Third Avenue at 99th Street on the higher side of Manhattan. The Manhattan Railway Company engineered to affect the Second, Third and Ninth Avenue elevated lines. It served as an influence supply for the IRT Lexington Avenue Line from 1918 till the Nineteen Seventies. It originally regenerate twenty five cycles/second AC power from the 74th Street powerhouse, to DC for the electrical motors. The station is in hand by the MTA and it’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
