The Stone Arch Bridge may be a former railroad bridge crossing the Mississippi River at Saint Anthony Falls in downtown metropolis, Minnesota.
Positioned between the third Avenue Bridge and also the I-35W Saint Anthony Falls Bridge, the Stone Arch Bridge was in-built 1883 by railroad big businessman James J. Hill for his nice Northern Railway, and accessed the previous traveler station set a couple of mile to the west, on the geographic area of the watercourse. The structure is currently used as a pedestrian and bicycle bridge. It’s associate Historic engineering Landmark, and was additional to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971 as a district of the Saint Anthony Falls Historic District.
