Stock Island could be a census-designated place (CDP) on associate island of constant name in Monroe County, Florida, us. The population of the CDP was four,410 at the 2000 census. it’s settled on the portion of the island south of US-1. it’s purportedly named for the herds of placental mammal at one time unbroken there. as an alternative, some native historians counsel that it’s going to be named for associate early settler.
