Stewart may be a community, incorporated as a locality municipality at the pinnacle of the Portland Canal in northwestern Canadian province, Canada. The Nisga’a, UN agency lived round the Nass stream, known as the pinnacle of Portland Canal Skam-A-Kounst, which means “safe house” or “strong house”, most likely as a result of it served them as a retreat from the harassment of the Haida and Tlingit from the outer coast.
