Stanstead may be a city of concerning three,000 people, a part of the MemphréMagog Regional County Municipality within the Estrie region of Quebec. Stanstead is found on the Canada-United States border across from plug hat Line, Vermont.The city of Stanstead was created in 1995 by the merger of the previous cities of Stanstead Plain, Rock Island and Beebe Plain.The Haskell Free Library and house was deliberately created straddling the border for access for each Canadians and Americans.
