Detail InformationEdit
Atop a huge, rising rock at the foot of the Hohe Salve stands the little pilgrimage church called Stampfanger – due to its site also known as “at the stone” – which can only be reached over a covered bridge with a shingled roof. It was first constructed in 1660, then rebuilt in 1757. At that time the simple, octagonal central part of the building was enlarged with the sanctuary containing the altar; and the tower (after its prior elevation) was adorned with an onion-shaped dome. Not least because of its romantic setting, Stampfanger receives many visitors, not only locals, also guests.
