Detail InformationEdit
The church you see today is Gothic style with two naves.
The lavishly ribbed vaults give most a good impression of how the Church must have looked in its hey days. The foundation stone was probably laid around 1520. This date was found in the course of renovation works, however there are no records concerning the construction time.
According to historical records, Suffragan Bishop Sigismund of Passau had the Church of Taiskirchen, all altars, the graveyard and the bells consecrated on May 12, 1455. A tiny Chapel dedicated to St Sebastian was added to the Church in 1701. It was demolished within the renovation works of the year 1910.
