St. Mary’s Episcopal Church was the primary Episcopal church in Kansas town, Missouri, established in 1857. The parish was supported as St. Luke’s, and therefore the name modified within the decennary. It absolutely was sponsored by Trinity Episcopal Church in Independence, Missouri. Before the development of the building at thirteenth and Holmes, the congregation idolized at many locations as well as a building at eighth and Walnut.
The current Holmes Street building was in-built 1887. The Gothic Revival church was accepted into the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
