Detail InformationEdit
Parish Church of Weißenkirchen im Attergau – Dedicated to St Margaret
St Margaret´s Church creates a typically Upper Austrian scene of a church on a hilltop, surrounded by the graveyard and a few secluded farms.
The ample parish territory is surrounded by a predominantly rural landscape with rural hamlets and farmsteads.
The Parish Church was erected from 1512 to 1514 in exemplary late Gothic style by Stephan Wultiger. These dates refer to the foundation stone and probably give notice of the constructional completion of the vaults.
The most noticeable and striking feature of St Margaret´s Church is the magnificent one pillar architecture.
