St. John the Evangelist Roman Christian church, currently referred to as Sweet Prospect Baptist Church, may be a historic Roman Christian church situated at urban center, Maryland, us. It’s AN 1855-1856 Italianate-influenced masonry structure that’s created of stuccoed brick walls resting on a dust stone foundation. It had been designed by Niernsee & Neilson.
The exterior options twin sq. Towers flanking the most façade and a semi-octagonal apsis flanked by one-story pavilions on the rear. It’s the foremost intact remaining example of AN Italianate public building in urban center. The ultimate mass was control at the Church of St. John the Evangelist, on June 26, 1966, and therefore the congregation unified therewith of St. James the Less, simply 2 block away. The church then became the New Central Social Hall.
