St. Francis of Assisi Church or The Church of St. Francis of Assisi may be a parish church underneath the authority of the Roman Catholic bishopric of recent dynasty, and is found at 135-139 West thirty first Street, Manhattan, the big apple town. The parish is staffed by the Order of Friars Minor.
The parish was established in 1844 by the Reverend Father Zachary Kunze, O.S.F. (now O.F.M.), associate migrant from the dominion of Magyarorszag, United Nations agency had been the founder and 1st pastor of the near German speaking St. John The Baptist Church in 1840. The issues with St. John’s Board of Trustees were therefore nice that the parish had been placed underneath associate interdict (which would last till 1845) by the Bishop of recent dynasty, the proper Rev. John McCloskey.
