The Sri Balaji Karthikeyan Temple, one of the most revered temples in the city. The deities of the temple are Lord Balaji, Lord Kartikeya (Muruga, son of Lord Shiva). According to Hindu mythology, Lord Kartikeya is believed to be the commander-in-chief of the army of Hindu Gods. Built in peaceful and picturesque surroundings, Balaji Mandir is famous for its architectural beauty. The temple is built in a 3 tier pattern with Ekadala Vimana for Lord Balaji and Lord Muruga. The rajagopuram (main tower of the temple is 60 feet high. The 3 feet tall idol of Lord Muruga is housed in the upper sanctum sanctorum along with his consorts Valli and Deivanai and the 6 feet tall idol of Lord Balaji (Venkateswara) is in the lower sanctum sanctorum. At the entrance of Balaji Karthikeyan Temple, there is a very well maintained garden with various flowers and one can also found a well-maintained Tulsi garden inside the temple. Besides the shrines of the main deities, Balaji Karthikeyan temple also houses shrines of Shiva, Ganapathy, Hanuman, Durga, Shithala matha, Sarparaja, Maha Sastha and also for Navagrahas – the nine planets. Daily Puja along with Archana and Mahadeeparthana are the main rituals of the temple. The major two festivals celebrated in the temple are Brahmotsava for Lord Balaji and Skanda Shashti for Lord Kartikeya. Besides these, Shivratri for Lord Shiva, Durga Navami for Godess Durga, Sri Balaji Kalyanam and Kalyanam of Lord Kartikeya were also celebrated with great fervor. Balaji Karthikeyan temple is also famous for its cultural, artistic and spiritual activities, which were held to promote the well being and harmony among devotees.

Sri Balaji and Sri Kartikeya Temple of Nagpur nestled atop the renowned Seminary Hills of the city is a Hindu temple where Lord Balaji; a manifestation of Lord Vishnu and Lord Kartikeya; the son of Lord Shiva and the mythological commander of the heavenly army of Hindu deities are enshrined. Distinguished for its incredible architectural splendor, the Balaji Temple of Nagpur depicts the brilliant amalgamation of North and South Indian architectural orders. While the daunting Rajagopuram or the main entrance of the temple reminds us of the South Indian temple style, the capacious and well-ventilated mandapams illustrate the bearing of the present day North Indian temples. The Temple Complex also accommodates a community hall, a library and the residential quarters for the priests. The temple hall can be rented for religious ceremonies at reasonable prices. The Balaji and Kartikeya Temple Trust is run by the ‘Motibagh Shri Skanda Samaj’. A Vedic Pathshala is also run by the temple trust that provides training in the Hindu Vedic Shastras. Above and beyond, the temple is also celebrated as the flourishing cultural core that is marked with a number of artistic, cultural and spiritual activities organized here.
