Spooner is a town in Washburn County, Wisconsin, United States. The city is located mostly within the southwest corner of the Town of Spooner, with alittle portion extending into the city of Beaver Brook on the south, the city of Bashaw on the southwest, and therefore the city of Evergreen on the west. The city’s nickname is “Crossroads of the North”, a relevance the actual fact that town is at the junction of 2 U.S. highways, 53 and 63, and State Highways seventy and 253. town was named when legislator John Coit Spooner.
