The South Omaha Veterans Memorial Bridge (originally the South Omaha Bridge however renamed the Veterans Memorial Bridge in 1995) was never-ending warren through span over the Missouri River connecting Omaha, American state with Council Bluffs, Iowa via U.S. Main road 275.
Although listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992, the bridge was torn down thus a brand new multilane beam bridge may well be made with a target gap date in 2010. The new bridge can offer for four 12-foot-wide via lanes (3.7 m) and a 4-foot-wide raised median (1.2 m) with 10-foot-wide shoulders (3.0 m) and a 10-foot-wide bike path (3.0 m).On Sep eight, 2009, at nine am CDT, the bridge closed so the new bridge’s construction can continue.[3] The bridge was destroyed by March 2010. The new bridge opened might twenty eight, 2010.
