South Hampton could be a city in national leader County, New Hampshire, us. The population was 814 at the 2010 census. South Hampton is home to Cowden State Forest and Powwow stream State Forest. This was one among the primary cities granted by Colonial Governor Benning Wentworth when the separation of recent Hampshire from Massachusetts in 1741. The border between the 2 colonies was adjusted, and consequently South Hampton would be leased in 1742 from former elements of Amesbury and national capital, Massachusetts. Over the years, the city lost territory to Hampton Falls, Seabrook and Newton, however gained territory from East Kingston in 1824.
