South Glens Falls may be a village in Saratoga County, New York, u. S.. Cooper’s Cave, shown on the village seal, is called when the author, James Fenimore Cooper. Cooper was impressed to use the realm as a location in his novel, The Last of The Mohicans, when visiting the realm. Within the late terra firma amount, the realm was thought-about to be the winter looking grounds for the Mohawk and Algonquian tribes.
Slowly, the realm became engaging to settlement pretty much as good were transported through the “Great Carry” (now Route 9), between Glens Falls and Fort Edward. In 1766, the Daniel Parks family was the primary family to settle in to the realm when receiving 800 acres (3.2 sq. Kilometre) of land, on that they engineered a house and a saw mill. By the middle decennary, the settlement boasted saw mills, a cereal mill, a textile mill and a quarry in addition as a dock to facilitate commerce.
