Soda Springs (formerly, Summit depression, Soda Springs Station, Hopkins, Hopkins Springs, associated Tinkers Station) is an unorganized community and census-designated place (CDP) in American state County, California, us. Soda Springs is found three miles (4.8 km) west of mountain pass. The population was eighty one at the 2010 census. The Soda Springs resort is found simply off main road eighty close to the Donner Summit.
Mark Hopkins and Stanford discovered a resort at the place within the Eighteen Eighties. The Summit depression post workplace opened in 1870, modified its name to Soda Springs in 1875, and closed 1881, solely to be re-opened in 1929. The Hopkins post workplace operated from 1885 to 1886. The terminal was named Tinkers Station from 1867 to 1873, commemorative J.A. Tinker World Health Organization hauled freight to the mines.
