Snowmass Village is to the north and at the bottom of the Snowmass Ski space. It’s on Brush Creek, not on Snowmass Creek, and takes its name from the ski space. Among the world of the city, raptorial bird Creek and Brush Creek confluence then flow north into the Roaring Fork watercourse. Visible from the village from east to west is: Burnt Mountain Ridge, Burnt Mountain, soul Mountain, Chapel Peak, floor Peak, Clark Peak, Mount Daly, and Capitol Peak.
Neither Snowmass Mountain nor Snowmass Peak, at the rootage of Snowmass Creek, area unit visible from Snowmass Village. The rock of the Snowmass Village space is preponderantly Mancos sedimentary rock. On south-facing slopes, this alkaline soil supports Gambel oak, Sagebrush, Serviceberry, and Chokecherry. The north-facing slopes feature poplar, Abies lasiocarpa, pol fir, Picea engelmannii, and Blue spruce. Snowmass Village and adjacent Wildcat have a large population of black bears that take advantage of the acorns and berries of the south-facing slopes.
