Shri Ganganagar is a city that is located in the state of Rajasthan and it is also known as Ganganagar. The city is located in the Ganganagar District in the northern regions of the state. The city was originally a desert and was converted into a green city by the various irrigations projects that were introduced. It is a primarily an agricultural city and many green fields can be seen in the area, and it is a very interesting place to visit. The city is located at the place where the River Sutlej enters the state of Rajasthan and the city is also known as the food basket of the state. The region was part of the Bikaner state originally until the time of independence. There are a few interesting places that one can visit in the area and some of them are the Hindumalkot, Anupagad ka Qila, Laila Majnu ki Majhar, and Dada Pamparam Samadi. There are a few temples that are located in and around the town as well and some of the most well known ones are the and the. There are many old buildings and havelis that one can see in the town and this makes it an interesting place to visit.

By Air : The nearest airports are located at Delhi, Jaipur and Chandigarh. The best option is to arrive at the Jaipur and hire a taxi to reach the place. Taxis are from outside the airport and they charge around Rs 7 per km for a non A/C sedan.
By Train : The Ganganagar Railway Station is well connected to the rest of the state and there are frequent trains that arrive from Jaipur and other important cities in the state. Ganganagar- Jaipur express is one of the main trains that arrives at this station.
By BUS : The place is well connected by road and one can reach the city by taxis or government buses. Buses are the cheapest mode of transport available and they cost around Rs 200 from Jaipur.
