Narayani Dham has a main temple of Shri Rani Sati Dadi, and other temples of Shri Ganesh with Shiv Parivar, Shri Hanumanji, Shri Radha Krishna, along with Shri Pitreshvarji. The Temple trust also undertakes projects towards social cause. During drought situation in Rajasthan, donation was given to arrange food for cows. With the availability of funds and depending on the need, Trust takes the decision to undertake projects. More than 300 people visit the temple everyday. There is Dadi Mangal on every Krushna Paksha Navami followed by bhajans and Mahaprasad for all devotees. Temple celebrates Bhadi Amavas, Ganesh Festival, Navaratri, Janmashtami, Hanuman Jayanti, Deepavali with full enthusiasm. The temple also has a Hall sufficient enough to host more than 10000 devotees. It also has a lodging facility with 5 bedrooms with attached toilets so that the devotees coming from long distance can stay and take rest. Temple also has separate Kitchen and Dinning area for devotees.

HistoryEdit

The work of the Narayani Dham with “Bhumi Pujan” on 9th Feb, 2000 and actual start of “Mandir Nirman” on 17th May 2000. The construction work began under the valuable guidance of Shri Mahendra Mittal, Shri Ramesh Patodiya, Shri Mukesh Patodiya and Shri Shyam Goyal. Initially the plan was to build a small temple but with the overwhelming response from more than 425 Agrawal families it has taken a bigger shape. Due care was taken for the Establishment of deities. Shri Dadiji’s Vigraha, Brick and Jyoti was brought from Jhunjhnu temple. Brick and Jyot from temple at Salasar was brought for Hanumanji temple, Shri Shyam Baba Jyot was brought from Khatu. Shivling was brought from Omkareshwar. Asta Vinayak around Pune region was visited to bring soil, brick and sand for Shri Ganesh temple. The function of Pran Pratishta (Murti Sthapana) started with a big procession on 14th Feb 2002. On the auspicious day of 22nd Feb 2002, Pran Pratishta was conducted as per Vedic rituals by the famous Shri Govindacharya Dixit from Varanasi.

Taxi : Private rental cars or taxies can also be hired.

Bus : State owned buses connect nearest cities with the hill station Lonavala. Any tourist service providers arrange package tours by A/C deluxe buses to Lonavala from Mumbai and Pune.

Train : Lonavala is situated on the main railway line that plies from Mumbai to Pune. All trains that shuttle between the two cities stop here. From Mumbai, the approximate travel time would be around 3 hours, while from Pune it takes around 1 hour to reach Lonavala.

Air : Lonavala is located midway between two major cities of Maharashtra, Mumbai and Pune. Thus, if you are flying to Lonavala, you need to touch down at either the domestic airport at Pune (66 kilometers from Lonavala) or the international airport at Mumbai (110 kilometers from Lonavala) and from there, take a cab or a train.
