Shoresh is a moshav shitufi in the Jerusalem Corridor, Israel, under the jurisdiction of Mateh Yehuda Regional Council. Located five kilometres from Sha’ar HaGai, it covers an area of 7,500 dunams. The Harel Brigade captured the Arab village of Saris overlooking the highway to Jerusalem. The strategic hilltop position had been used to fire on Jewish vehicles traveling on the road below.
