The John G. Shedd Institute for the humanities, or The Shedd Institute, may be a liberal arts company, cultural arts center, and community music faculty in Eugene, Oregon, u. S.. Settled in downtown Eugene, The Shedd Institute has three performance venues, varied community meeting rooms, and in depth music education facilities. Formerly, the building housed the primary Baptist Church of Eugene. A 65,000-square-foot (6,000 m square) building has two formal concert halls (the 816-seat Jaqua hall and therefore the 175-seat Recital Hall), a multi-purpose 250-seat hall, two dance studios, a library, and over thirty alternative community meeting rooms, school rooms and rehearsal areas.
