Shantaleswara Temple is one of the major attractions of the destination, where several idols are placed next to each other. The shrine is constructed on an elevated platform facing east and is dedicated to Lord Shantaleswara. The idol of Lord Shantaleswara is made of soft soapstone also known as potstone. The sanctum of the temple features a shivalinga, a prototype of Hindu style of architecture. Unlike the simple interiors, the exterior structure of the shrine is quite complex but is decorated beautifully. There is a museum along with the ancient shrine that attracts visitors from across the world. There are several black stone statues of mortals and immortals in the repository.
