Seoni is a town located in a district of the same name in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. This district is very popular along tourists, and it is located in the southern part of the state. Tourists mainly travel to the district in order to explore their way through its rugged landscape and its many forests. The region is mainly famous for being the setting of Rudyard Kipling’s novel ‘The Jungle Book’.The region is home to many tribals and these small tribal villages can be visited during your trip to Seoni. The Beemgarh Dam in Seoni is worth visiting, and this is a large dam made of mud. This dam is surrounded by forests, and is a local tourist hotspot. The scenic location of this dam attracts many to the place. You can also visit Dalsagar Sarovar in Seoni. This is a beautiful lake that is covered by lilies during spring. The Mata Rajrajeshwari temple in the town of Seoni also attracts many pilgrims. Many 18th century Jain temples are also present in the region, and these can be visited as well. The is a popular tiger resort.

By Air : There is no airport in Seoni. Nearest airport is at Nagpur 120 kms.

By Train : The town of Seoni has a railway station that is minor in reach. Seoni does not have regular trains to all metropolitan cities, but trains will be available from the city of Nagpur to Seoni. Trains that run from Nagpur to Bhoma can also be taken from Seoni. The Nagpur Chhindwara Express, the Nagpur Jabalpur Pass and the Nagpur Nir Jabalpur Passenger are the main trains that run through Seoni. These trains will travel through the towns of Itwari, Umra Nala, Ramakona, Kelod, Koradih and Howbadh.
