Satchari national park is covered 243 hectare area. most typical tree species found here are Shaal, Segun, Agar, Garjan, Chapalish, Palm, Mehgani, Krishnachur, Dumur, Jamrul, Shidha Jarul, Awal, Malekas, Eucalyptus, Akashmoni, Bamboo trees, bet trees, etc. Satchari means that “seven streams”, being a respect to the streams flowing through the park, providing plentiful water for the plush semi evergreen forests and other flora, as well because the several animals resident within the park. Part of the park was at just one occasion planted with eucalyptus and tree trees, several of that still stay. Satchari national park is home to the critically vulnerable Hoolock Gibbon. Both the male and female of those fascinating primates ar distinguished by the white rings around their eyes and mouth, but the males ar black colored with white eyebrows, whereas the females have grey-brown fur that is slightly darker within the chest and neck area. Another resident primate is the Phayre’s Leaf Monkey, a species of langur, that is not considered to be vulnerable.

Taxi : Taxies are also available from railway station and airport to reach the site.
Bus : From Dhaka there are several luxury coach and bus services to Sylhet. Some notable services are Hanif, Green Line, Shohag Poribahan etc. These services are offered from 7:30 am to 10:30 pm. There are also non AC bus services obtainable from the Sayedabad bus station domestically called a Jonopath Mor, close to Sayedabad Hujur’s mosque that depart each half hour from 6 am to midnight. Efficient budget bus service companies are Hanif, Unique Service etc. Ena non AC transportation company obtainable from Uttara(Dhaka) to Sylhet.
Train : Sylhet train station is that the main railway station providing trains on national routes operated by the state-run Bangladesh Railway.There are train services from capital of Bangladesh, Chittagong and Comilla to Sylhet everyday. From Dhaka, there are 3 trains named Joyontika, Parabat and Upoban depart at morning, noontide and evening.There is a new train named Kalni depart at afternoon from Dhaka. From Dhaka, it takes 8-9 hours. once reaching at terminal taxies and autorickshaws to reach simply out there to achieve the destination.
Air : Osmani International airport (ICAO: ZYL) is served by all major domestic carriers, Biman Air, United Airlines and Regent Airways. it’s situated five miles north-east of Sylhet in Bangladesh. There are not any international flights, however most of the flights in Sylhet are destined to the capital and largest town of Bangladesh, Dhaka. once landing at airport taxies and autorickshaws are simply obtainable to reach the destination.
