7. Haridwar
Haridwar is considered one among the seven holiest places to Hindus. Consistent with the Samudra manthan, Haridwar along side Ujjain, Nashik and Prayag (Allahabad) is one among four sites wherever drops of Amrit, the elixir of immortality, accidentally spilled over from the pitcher whereas being carried by the celestial bird Hindu deity. This is often manifested within the Kumbha Mela being celebrated each three years in one among the four places, and so each twelve years in Haridwar.
