Santuario de Guadalupe is a magnificent landmark of Makati City which is well known and recognized for its Doric architecture. This church is now transformed into an art and history museum which houses a collection of carved images of saints of New Mexico. The other artifacts of this museum include prominent collections such as the Mexican baroque paintings and the Italian Renaissance works as well. ‘Our Lady of Guadalupe’ is one of the treasured paintings of this museum which was created by Jose de Alzibar.
This painting is considered as the largest and one of the finest oil paintings of the Spanish Southwest. The Santuario de Guadalupe Museum also plays an important role of a great venue for a number of cultural events that take place throughout the year in Makati City, along with several interesting musical and art shows as well.
