Santee may be a city in Orangeburg County on the Santee stream depression in Central South geographic region of the us. It’s become a resort city of note set centrally north-south on the Atlantic seaside of South geographic region. The region has been rural, with a primarily agricultural economy typical of Orangeburg County, however it’s currently celebrated primarily for its many golf courses in proximity to Lake Marion, Santee State Park and alternative Lake Marion attractions. Interstate ninety five connects its attractions simply with tourists’ traveling by automobile. I95 crosses a slender arm of the lake into the city lands, on a picturesque causeway (see ikon at right). Lake Marion may be a unreal electricity reservoir, that at a hundred and ten,000 acres (450 km2, 173 sq mi) is one in all the fifty largest lakes within the country.
