Located in the heart of the Costa del Maresme coast, this village is an excellent destination to enjoy contact with countryside, sun and sea.
Santa Susanna is on the Mediterranean coast, 60 kilometres from the city of Barcelona. This quiet village offers two kilometres of broad beaches, with clean, Golden sand, surrounded by pine groves. Its Marine Resort has a range of services and facilities, offering many different water sports such as sailing, windsurfing and scuba diving, amongst others. Very close by is the Montnegre-Corredor Nature Reserve, where there are also various excursions and open-air activities available. Furthermore, Santa Susanna is one of the Maresme villages that conserves the most ancient watchtowers. They were built from the 15th to 18th centuries to defend against pirate attacks and, of the seven still in existence, two can be visited, one is currently home to the railway station and the rest have been incorporated in private houses.
