Santa María Jacatepec may be a city and municipality set within the state of Oaxaca eleven metric linear unit north of the Valle Nacional. “Jacatepec” comes from Nahuatl which means ‘on canine hill.’ it’s a part of the Tuxtepec District of the Papaloapan Region, and is merely thirty meters on top of water level.
The city had its origins once the residents of San Juan Palantla required to flee a pandemic that desolated the village. 1st they established a village they known as Valle Real; but, as a result of the place’s dangerous location, they affected on to many farming areas known as San Pedro Ozumasín, town Yetla and Santa María Jacatepec. The last was established as a city in 1650 so as at municipality in 1896.
Near the city ar three springs known as Tzul Zul, Paraíso Escondido and gully whiten that are regenerate into recreational parks.
