Sant Damaji of Mangalwedha, Solapur district and also the birthplace of Shri Jayatirtha also called as Teekacharya. He was one of the greatest saints of the Dvaita school of Vedanta. There is also a Sugar Factory at Mangalwedha. The main places of interest in the town are the temples dedicated to Saint Damaji, Saint Chokha, Vishveshwar and Mahadeo and the chauburji of the fort besides a house in a dilapidated condition which was the residence of the last Maratha general Bapu Gokhale.
