Sangareddy is located in the south Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. This town lies very close to the state capital of, and is located in the district. Sangareddy is mainly popular for the various temples that are located in and around the town, in the vicinity. Many pilgrims flock to these temples during festival time.The town of Sangareddy is mainly famous for the Ramalingeswara temple which is located there. This temple is located in a place called Nandi Kandi, which lies fifteen kilometers (15 km) away from the town of Sangareddy. This temple houses the local deity Rameshwara, and is especially well known for its unique architecture. The temple is one of the very few temples in India that is shaped like a star. Built by the kings of the Kalyana Chalukya Empire, this temple is an exquisite structure that portrays the magnificence of their time. There are four huge pillars in the middle of the temple that have been sculpted out of single blocks of stone.There are various shrines dedicated to other deities like Mahishasura Mardini, Saraswathi and Gaja Lakshmi. There are various figurines that are present along the main hallway too, and these include sculptures of other Hindu deities.

By Air : There is no airport in Sangareddy.

By Train : The nearest major railway station is in the city of Hyderabad, and this station is very well connected to other cities and towns in the state. Frequent trains from Hyderabad are available to all destinations including Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Howrah, Vijayawada and Nagpur.

By BUS : Buses are the locally preferred mode of transport, and they run to Sangareddy from the nearby towns of Andol, Zanirabad, Medak, Dubak, Gajwel and Hyderabad. There are also local buses to the small villages that are located near Sangareddy including Hatnur and Kandi. Buses that run from Hyderabad to Sangareddy are available in both deluxe and semi deluxe forms. Air conditioned coaches to Sangareddy are not available. Bus fares will range around Rs 50 to 100 for nearby destinations. Fares will rise for longer distances.

By Taxi : Taxis and Auto rickshaws are easily available for moving about in the city.
