Sand Creek Massacre National Historic website may be a National Historic website in Kiowa County, Colorado, close to Eads and Chivington in Kiowa County commemorative the Sand Creek Massacre. The positioning is concerning a hundred and seventy miles (270 km) southeast of state capital and concerning a hundred twenty five miles (200 km) east of Pueblo. A number of basic park facilities are opened at this website.
In 1999, archaeologic groups from the parkland Service, Dept. Of the inside BLM, Colorado Historical Society and in the course of Native yankee observers, created a serious archaeologic discovery of remains of the massacre website. Massive numbers of amount bullets, camp instrumentation, and different things convinced the NPS that that they had found the proper website.
