San Severo is a city and comune of 55,486 inhabitants of the province of Foggia in the southern Italian region of Apulia. It rises on the foot of the spur of Gargano and is cathedral city since 1580. Residents of San Severo are referred to as Sanseveresi. San Severo adjoins the communes Apricena in the north, Rignano Garganico and San Marco in Lamis in the east, Foggia and Lucera in the south, and Torremaggiore and San Paolo di Civitate west.
