San Francisco Zen Center (SFZC), may be a network of related Sōtō Zen apply and retreat centers within the San Francisco Bay space, comprising town Center or Beginner’s Mind Temple, the Tassajara Zen Mountain Center, and also the inexperienced flume Farm Zen Center. The sangha was incorporated by Shunryu Suzuki-roshi and a bunch of his yank students in 1962. Nowadays SFZC is that the largest Sōtō organization within the West.
