Detail InformationEdit

San Andrés (formerly called bell San Andrés) could be a pre-Columbian website in El Salvador, whose occupation began round the year 900 before Christ as associate degree agricultural city within the depression of Zapotitán within the department of los angeles Libertad. This early institution was vacated by the year 250 thanks to the big eruption of the crater of Lago Ilopango, and was occupied once more within the fifth Century, together with several different sites within the depression of Zapotitán.
Between 600 and 900 AD, San Andrés was the capital of a Maya polity with ascendence over the opposite institutions of Valle DE Zapotitán. The territorial dominion has not however been well studied. The investigations and excavations in San Andrés are primarily of the political-ceremonial center and have disclosed that it had been divided into the South Seat (from that they governed) and also the North Seat. Within the year 600, the South Seat was crammed with adobe (leaving a tunnel resulting in the initial seat) to construct the citadel, that contains ceremonial and political structures.
