Detail InformationEdit
In the center of Dorf on the banks of the river Pram the church building is a central focus for visitors to the town.
There has been a church on this location ever since the year 1481 when a Chapel was erected on the site. In 1501 the “Church at Dorf” was consecrated by Bishop Wiguleus of Passau and dedicated to Saint Wolfgang.
The first registers of the Parish of Dorf date from 1680. Until then it had belonged to the combined parish Taiskirchen. Thus 1680 can be seen as the true foundation year of the Parish.
The church you see today was built in 1901. Among its most noticeable and striking features is the “Ehrlich Organ” that dates from the year 1873.
