Detail InformationEdit

The Parish Church in Burgkirchen´s town center was built in late Gothic style in the mid-15th century.
The wonderful parish church is dedicated to Saint Maximilian, a Christian preacher who was persecuted because of his belief. He died a martyr´s death around 300 A.D.
A wide range of art treasures await you in the interior, e.g. the so-called “”Pestkreuz”” Cross (to protect against plague epidemics in the past) designed by Martin and Michael Zürn, two local artists.
